The Tenute Del Cavaliere have always been dedicated to protecting and defending the environment. In fact, our company is committed to the production of energy from renewable sources with a photovoltaic system and a biogas plant, both with a power of 1 megawattg. The Biogas plant is fed with vegetable biomass such as wheat, barley, corn, triticale, by-products of the agricultural sector (lemons, oranges and tangerines) and finally by-products of the canning sector (processed tomato peels) Our biomass plant allows us to use Biodigestate for the fertilization of our land, a compost that allows us to replace mineral fertilizers
